How to Turn On your Mac or Windows PC with Amazon Alexa

You need to note here that this will work only when your Mac or Windows PC is on Sleep or Hibernate state and it will not work if it is fully powered. Secondly, you must use the same Wi-Fi network for both your Android phone and Mac or Windows PC.

Now say, “Alexa, trigger PC on” and your phone will receive an SMS and Tasker will automatically tell the Wake on Lan app to wake up your Mac or Windows PC.

Normally it takes a small pause before the SMS is sent but it has been noticed that it actually takes between 3 to 10 seconds precisely.
