Samsung is back in news and this time for all the right reasons. Yesterday we came to know that Samsung is going to disable its disastrous Galaxy Note 7 in its own backyard soon and today we are learning that this South Korean tech giant is all set to announce its 2017 A series next month.
Although Samsung has not made any obvious announcement yet but in all likelihood, 5th January could be the date when we hear some great news from Samsung.
The New Galaxy A Series Smartphones by Samsung to be Announced on 5th Jan 2017
As we know Samsung and few other smartphone companies release their flagship devices and also the middle of the path devices at regular intervals. One can easily understand that the A series from Samsung will belong to the later category. Samsung Malaysia today released a teaser on Twitter saying that “IT ALL BEGINS WITH A. HOLD YOUR BREATH.” along with an image of few drops of water around the quoted text. This only means that the new Galaxy A series phones will be water resistant.
For such mid-ranged smartphones, Southeast Asia is an extremely important to market for Samsung and one has to believe that Samsung’s CES 2017 will commence only hours after its Malaysian event ends on January 5th and hence Samsung needs to cash in. These will be the first mid-ranged smartphones which will have water resistant capabilities like its high-end smartphones have.
As per the latest inputs, we have received, there will be two A series devices announced by Samsung on 5th January, one will be the Galaxy A5 (2007) and the other is Galaxy A7 (2017). Galaxy A5 will have 3GB RAM and a 16MP camera and it will be priced around $400. On the other hand, the Galaxy A7 will have the similar features with a larger display of 5.5 inch. The possible price of Galaxy A7 is yet to be revealed.
