Nokia Announces Nokia 3, 5, and 6 Brand New Smartphones at MWC 2017

Yes! Finally, once upon a time leader in the cellphone market, Nokia is back and back with a bang of course! As we predicted last month that Nokia is going to announce its whole new brigade of Android smartphones on 26th February at Mobile World Conference 2017, it has done exactly that. To start this initiative after a big lull, Nokia announced the China-only Nokia 6 last month and now at MWC 2017 we got all new smartphones.

These four Android Smartphones, first Android platform by Nokia ever, are Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 along with new and certainly improved Nokia 3310! The exact release dates for all these new smartphones from Nokia is yet to know, but they are expected in the 2nd quarter this year, to say the least. So, all those Nokia lovers or die-hard Nokia buyers get yourself ready for Q2 of 2017.

Nokia’s Major Announcements at MWC 2017

As Nokia is gearing up for all new competition MWC this year was the most important platform for it. Despite announcing the China-only Nokia 6 and also Nokia 150 feature phone last month, what was more buzzing for Nokia was its first ever marriage with Android, and it has not let anyone down with its announcements at MWC 2017.

Nokia 3310

Looking forward to the future Nokia and its partner HMD Global made the announcement of three smartphones based on Android platform. Nokia believes that their phones will be quite different than their rivals to be in coming days. The difference one will pick in the display, camera, and design along with the quality. Plus, as per Nokia, it is going to use the purest version of Android we witnessed till now along with the presence of Google Assistant across its four new models.

So, this is just information before we move forward to the specification parts of Nokia’s four Android smartphones. Now let us shift our focus on what exactly these four smartphones have for use and which smartphone carry which features and how it is different than the other Nokia smartphone.

Nokia 3

You may call this new Nokia Android smartphone as ‘retro’ phone because it will remind you of that good old Nokia 925. The smartphone is giving you an aluminum unibody frame and polycarbonate back plate which tells you the story of being sturdy. There are four color choices as well on offer. You can pick your phone from black, silver and white, dark blue and copper frame with a white back.

Nokia 3

This phone uses the same launcher what we experience in the Google Pixel smartphones. One drawback can go against this phone is that it has the Micro-USB port and not the current USB-C port. Let’s get more specific about the specifications.

The Nokia 5 is stronger in all counts than what Nokia 3 is offering. There is a fingerprint sensor which is replacing the home button, but you can still find multi-tasking buttons and capacitive back. Made from a single piece of machine aluminum this smartphone’s body has silver, black, copper and dark blue colors. The phone also has slightly curved edges and black glass fronts. All-in-all, the body, feels great, and looks are attractive.

Nokia 6 Arte Black

To start with, this smartphone was ‘China-only, ‘ but come the second quarter of this year, and it will be available worldwide. You got color choices like copper, silver, tempered blue and matte black to pick up. This is a decent looking smartphone from Nokia. Just like Nokia 5, this piece too has fingerprint sensor leaving out the home button along with capacitive navigation buttons, and the antenna cutouts are visible right at the very edge. Its curved edges will charm you the most apart from anything else for sure.

It is almost the same phone what Nokia 6 is just that they polished the aluminum body for five times more and have 4GB RAM and the internal storage is boosted to 64GB and yes, you will also find a shiny fingerprint magnet as well. For all these ‘extras’ you will need to pay 70 Euros extra!

So, this is what Nokia is offering right now for all of us. What one can feel is that Nokia had indeed delivered towards the buzz and excitement we all were feeling just before the MWC 2017 started. One can easily say that the choices are very simple because all the models are accurate for one particular group of buyers.
