There is an expansion announced in Microsoft’s Surface family as it will now have the desktop. On Wednesday the company announced the all new Surface Studio at an event in the New York city. In the event, it was revealed that there will be limited editions only of the Surface Studio which is going to be released sooner. Microsoft has said that this edition will be known as “Creator’s Edition.”
According to Terry Myerson, the executive vice president of Microsoft’s Windows and Devices group, the Surface Studio is Microsoft’s vision for the future of computing and it is going to offer more natural and immersive way to create. This is seen as a clear challenge to Apple’s iMac and Mac Pro, which have been the only options for the creators of the industry till now.

The Date of Release
The Pre-Orders of the Microsoft Surface Studio are already opened in the US and the limited quantities will be shipped over Christmas, but it is said that the complete availability will be available in early 2017 only. All in all, it seems that Microsoft Surface Studio will be available during the springs of next year world over.
Depending on hardware requirements the prices of the Surface Studio will remain at $2,999, $3,499 and $4,199.
In Wednesday’s even Microsoft claimed that The Surface Studio will have world’s thinnest LCD monitor at just 12.5mm with a 28-inch touchscreen display. The ‘4.5k ultra HD screen will make Surface Studio delivering 13.5 million pixel or 192 pixels per inch, which means it is more than 63% than a 4K television. The contrast ratio will be 1100:1 which will ensure comfortable use across wide viewing angles and also wide color gamut. That will deliver more than 99% of the world’s desktop monitors as per Microsoft.
There is another thing called Surface Pen which will be attached to the Surface Studio or in other words a new hockey puck shaped accessory which is called the Surface Dial to interact with touchscreen along with fingers
The Studio Mode
Surface Studio can be easily moved from upright desktop mode to the studio mode thanks to Microsoft’s very own ‘zero gravity hinge’ technique. In the Studio Mode, the monitor will create a stable 20-degree drafting table which can be used with Surface Pen and Surface Dial. So the users can learn on and work as if they are using the actual canvas which will not interrupt their workflow. So the Studio Mode will allow them to work naturally to bring out their best ideas out.
