YouTube’s ‘Take a break’ reminder is a boon for many YouTube watchers in the world. It is a given that a video blogger, it is sacrosanct to watch a number of videos to derive inspiration. But as an end user, you should limit your time of watching YouTube videos. Normally, viewers go overboard and watch videos for hours; for such viewers, YouTube has introduced ‘Remind me to take a break’ feature. Here is how to use YouTube’s ‘Take a break’ reminder on your Android and iPhone.

The minimum and maximum time after which you can take a break are 15 and 180 minutes respectively. In between, you can set break reminder for 30, 60, and 90 minutes on your Android or iPhone. For a tablet, iPad, and web users, they have to wait for some time, as the feature is limited to the phones.

That’s all friends!

Now while watching YouTube videos, when you reach the time limit you have set, YouTube flashes an alert that it is time to take a break. I like this feature and particularly the image of a monkey hanging down a tree and holding a cup of tea or coffee. When the alert appears, you can take action there to adjust the interval time or to ignore it to keep watching your favorite videos on YouTube.

Don’t miss:

Google has rolled out this feature very recently, and some Android phones with Oreo may not show you the option to set break reminder. Have patience! And don’t forget to share your feedback with us.
