Just like millions of fans from around the world, I was really overjoyed to see iPhone 6 and 6 Plus with the large screen a couple of years ago. Boasting of fantastic display, the bigger-than-bigger iPhones took the smartphone industry by the storm. No wonder Apple sold more than 75 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus during the first quarter of their launch.

Whether you want to play a thrilling game or watch a nice video, ultra-large screen spices up the whole experience. Personally, I am a huge fan of big screen devices.

With the latest iPhones having a large screen, it is not comfortable to use them with one hand. Understanding the inconvenience, Apple introduced a feature called Reachability—to be used exclusively on 4.7 and 5.5-inches iPhones. Once activated, it moves the screen of your device to the bottom; thereby letting you access contents with utmost ease.

Even though the Home button of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has become pressure-sensitive, the process of activating Reachability hasn’t changed. Let’s find out!

How to Use Reachability on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Step #1. Simply double tap (not press) the Force Touch enabled Home button on your iPhone.

Step #2. Next, the screen of your device will move down halfway to let you reach buttons and objects towards the top.

You can swipe down within the blank space that takes up the top-half of the screen to activate Notification Center or the Today view.

If you want the screen to return to normal, just tap on the Home button twice again. If you don’t touch anything, it will reset itself after a few seconds.

How to Turn off Reachability on iPhone 7/7 Plus

If you don’t want to use Reachability, there is an option to disable it.

Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iPhone.

Step #2. Tap on General.

Step #3. Next, you need to tap on Accessibility.

Step #4. Now, scroll down to the bottom and tap on Reachability.

Step #5. Finally, toggle off the switch next to Reachability.

That’s it!
