But now Niantic has announced a new feature where you can actually track Pokémon in your nearby area. This feature was just rolled out in USA, Europe and as per last minute news in some areas of Canada as well. The company has also suggested that they will keep on reviewing the feedbacks it will receive once this feature gets popular among the people. So in future, we may see lot many changes in Pokémon Go gaming app as well.

With this feature, you can now view some of the Pokémon that have gathered around your vicinity’s PokéStops. Once more areas are added the tracking will give you more and better results than now.

Step #1. Tap on Nearby Tab on the Pokémon Go app at the bottom right of your smartphone screen.

Step #2. Tap on the Pokémon you wish to track.

Step #3. Tap on the Footprints button and start tracking.

Step #4. Your screen will be zoom out to show your Footprints flag, just pan across the screen and see where your Pokémon is.

Note: Sometimes Pokémon you are looking for will also give off radar rings in the Nearby tab so keep reminding yourself what you are tracking.

Step #5. Once you are near enough it will spawn but if it doesn’t then go to the PokéStop to check whether you have checked all sides or not.

You can track only one Pokémon at one time, if you wish to track another then you can leave this tracking and start tracking another one at your wish. Same thing you can do if you want to stop your search in the middle. To stop tracking Pokémon follow these steps given below.

Step #1. Tap on the Nearby tab on the bottom right of your screen.

Step #2. Tap on the Pokémon you don’t want to track anymore.

Step #3. Tap on Footprints button and stop tracking.

Remember, if a Pokémon de-spawns before you track him and reach to him a pop-up will let you know that it has filed.

This new feature will enable you to track Pokémon in your nearby easily than how you used to do till now.
