Impressed with the stunning camera and smart Google Assistant, I could not help buying Google Pixel a few days back. While switching to Android from iPhone, I was worried about losing my memorable photos. However, Google Photos allowed me to transfer pics to my brand new phone a lot easily.
Have you also just switched to Android from iPhone and are looking for a quick guide to let you transfer your photos with ease? Let me walk you through the simple process.
How to transfer photos from iPhone to Android
Step #1. First off, you have to Download Google Photos from the App Store. Then, launch Google Photos on your iPhone.
Step #2. Next, tap Get started.
Step #3. Tap on OK when requested to allow Google Photos to access your photos.
Step #4. In case, you wish to back up your photos using cellular data, tap on the switch which is next to Use cellular data to back up. Leave this option if you don’t want to use it.
Step #5. Tap on Continue.
Step #6. Now, you have to tap on the circle next to High quality or Original. If you select High quality, it will compress your photos to 16 megapixels file size, but it will offer you unlimited storage-2PB. If you select Original, it will come under your Google Drive-15GB.
Step #7. Tap on Continue. Then, you need to tap on Get notified if wish to be notified when someone shares photos with you. Else, tap on No thanks.
You will have to tap on Leave Off to leave alerts just in case you chose No thanks.
That’s all there is to it! Have patience for a while and let the process be completed successfully. If you have tons of photos, the process of syncing pics will take some more time.
Once Google Photos has successfully synced your photo library, you can access all your photos on your Android smartphone.
There are quite a few features like 24/7 customer support, unlimited storage for photos, which make Google Pixel an absolute delight for smartphone users.
Thanks to the superb features, experts have begun to look at Pixel phones as a notable competitor to iPhone 7/7 Plus. With Samsung Galaxy Note 7 being discontinued, Pixel and iPhone 7 are likely to benefit the most.
