With your PC running Windows 10, you can easily sync files between your computer and iPhone. If you want your files to be available as well as up-to-date both on your PC and iOS device, you need to sync them with each other.

At times I want to view some of the finest photos captured on iPhone on computer or listen to my favorite music available on iOS device on the PC while working. With synchronization enabled between Windows and iPhone, I don’t have to worry about adding pics or music on either end. Here is how it works!

How to Enable Wi-Fi Syncing in iTunes 12 for Windows 10

Wi-Fi sync is pretty easy to enable. Once you have set up Wi-Fi sync, data will be transferred whenever you’re connected to the same network.

Step #1. Open iTunes on your computer.

Then, you need to connect your iPhone to your computer using Lightning to USB or 30-pin USB cable.

Step #2. Click the device button (looks like a small iPhone) located near the top-left of the window.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Then, you need to click the checkbox next to Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi.

Step #3. Click Music at the left-side menu, and then click the checkbox next to Sync Music.

Click Musicand then click the checkbox next to Sync Music

In case you don’t want to sync music, don’t check the box.

Now, repeat the process for Movies, TV Shows, and Photos.

Step #4. Click on Apply. Finally, you need to click on Sync.

How to sync over Lightning or 30-pin USB cable

With the use of USB to Lightning (or 30-pin Dock) cable, you will be able to sync your iPhone and iPad to Windows.

Step #1. Open iTunes on your computer.

Next, connect your iPhone to your computer using Lightning to USB or 30-pin USB cable.

Step #2. Click the device button (looks like a small iPhone) located near the top-left of the window.

Step #3. Click Music at the left-side menu.

Step #4. Click the checkbox next to Sync Music. If you don’t wish to sync music, leave the box unchecked.

You can repeat the process for Movies, TV Shows, and Photos.

Step #5. Click ApplySync.

How to sync iPhone and iPad with iCloud

Using iCloud you can backup and sync your iPhone and iPad to Apple’s servers.

Step #1. Open any web browser on your computer. Go to www.support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204283.

Download iCloud App

Step #2. Scroll down and click on Download.

Step #3. Click on Save.

Step #4. Tap on Run when download has completed.

Step #5. Tap on I accept the termsInstallFinish.

Now, your computer will restart. Once it has restarted, iCloud window will appear on the screen.

Next, you need to enter your Apple ID, password and sign in.

Now, you have to click the checkbox next to iCloud Drive.

Step #6. Click the checkbox next to Photos.

Step #7. Click the checkbox next to Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks.

Finally, you have to click Apply to confirm.
