In this article, we will be discussing a step-by-step process to set up Samsung Pay on Galaxy S8/S8+. Make sure that NFC (Near Field Communication) feature is enabled on your device. It will allow your device to exchange data with other NFC devices. If you have not enabled yet, swipe up Apps from your home screen and then Tap Settings → Connections → NFC and payment, and then tap On to enable NFC feature.
How to Set Up Samsung Pay With Galaxy S8/S8 Plus
Step #1. Download and install Samsung Pay app from Google Play Store.
Step #2. Open Samsung Pay app on your device, and then you need to Agree on Terms and Conditions and Tap on ‘Next’.
Step #3. Next, You need to choose the Verification Method (you can either set up a PIN, an IRIS scanning, or fingerprint scanner)
Step #4. Tap on ‘Next’ and then Tap on ‘Add button’ to add credit card or debit card detail.
Step #5. Now your last step is tap on Call Your Bank for card verifications.
After completing all these steps, you may have to make a phone call to your bank about the initial set up of Samsung Pay on your Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus device. You can also ask your bank to set Samsung Pay your new default app and payment method.
If you want to set Samsung Pay as your default payment app, you can easily enable it in Tap and Pay option in your Galaxy S8 settings. Navigate to go to Settings by swiping up from home and then → Connections → NFC and payment → Turn on NFC and tap on Tap and Pay to select the default payment method. You can also choose other alternative payment methods by tapping on Others option under the Tap and Pay section.
