Things to Make Sure before Setting Up Apple Pay

  • Make sure you have a supported card from participating banks or credit unions.
  • Make sure your devices are running the latest version of iOS, watchOS, or macOS.
  • Apple allows you to add up to eight cards on any device.

How to Add Apple Pay Card on iPhone and iPad

Step #1. Launch Settings app → Wallet & Apple Pay.

Step #2. Tap on Add Credit or Debit Card.

Now, go ahead with the steps to add a new card. If you are prompted to add the card that you already use with iTunes, just enter its security code.

Tap Next. Now, your bank or card issuer will verify your information.

(In case they need more information, they will ask you add it. When you have the information, go back to Settings → Wallet & Apple Pay and tap your card.)

Step #3. Once your bank has verified your card, tap Next.

Next, you can now start using Apple Pay.

How to Add Apple Pay Card on Apple Watch

Step #1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone → My Watch tab.

Step #2. Tap on Wallet & Apple Pay. Now, follow the on-screen instructions to add a card.

In case your card is already on your iPhone, tap Add next to the card. To add a new card, you need to tap on Add Credit or Debit Card.

If you are prompted to add the card that you use with iTunes, you need to enter its security code.

Step #3. Tap Next. Your bank will verify your information.

(In case your bank needs more information, you will be asked to add it. You can add the information whenever you want and go ahead with the further process of setting up Apple Pay on your Apple Watch.)

Once your bank has verified your card, tap Next.

Finally, you can use Apple Pay on your smartwatch.

Step #1. First up, you need to go to System Preferences → Wallet & Apple Pay.

Step #2. Click on Add Card.

Now, go ahead with the process to add a new card.

In case you are prompted to add the card that you use with iTunes, you just need to enter its security code.

Click Next. Now your bank will verify your information.

Once the bank has verified your card, tap Next.
