As of now, the feature is limited to the US users only and it will take time to avail in other regions. Well, Alexa is still missing iOS support because of the Apple has pushed restrictions on its messaging API. And the company has not provided any information about when Alexa will it be able to read incoming message. How to Use Amazon’s Alexa to Send Text Messages

Note: Make sure you are living in the US and installed the latest Amazon Alexa app on your Android smartphone.

Step #1. Open the Alexa app on your Android phone.

Step #2. Tap on Conversation tab which looks like a message icon next to the home button.

Step #3. Next, tap on the person icon at the top right corner and then tap “My Profile” under your name.

Step #4. Now turn the toggle on next to “Send SMS” to enable messaging service.

After that, then you will just need to say “Alexa, send a text message” and “Alexa, send an SMS” to send messages with your Alexa-powered device.

Once you ask Alexa to send a message, she will ask you to say their full name. You can also directly send a message by saying “Alexa, send a text message to (Phone Number)”.
