Apple has announced at the yearly WWDC 2017 that the Apple Pay is expanding with the new feature person-to-person payment (P2P). The new P2P features called ‘Apple Pay Cash’ which allows users to send and request money using iMessage app in the latest iOS 11 on your iPhone or iPad.

The tech giant believes that the peer-to-peer payment is the standard and secure method and it also saves your time as well. You can also tell Siri to send money to your friends or family through debit or credit card which has been already attached with the Apple Wallet. When users get money, the amount will appear in their Apple Pay Cash account which you can transfer to your bank account later.

There is only one drawback that users won’t be able to records their transactions, so there is no other way to check older transactions. Well, there are several other peer-to-peer payment services like Venmo, Square Cash and Quickly let users make a record of all transactions.

How to Send Money via iMessage with Apple Pay in iOS 11 on iPhone

Make sure that you have set up Apple Pay on your iPhone and you should have a Touch ID supported device to choose authenticate each transaction.

Initially, the P2P feature is available for US users and support for iPhone SE, iPhone 6, and later, iPad Pro, iPad 5th generation, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, and later and Apple Watch this spring.

Step #1. Open iMessage App on your iDevice.

Step #2. Next, Select conversation with a person to whom you want to make payment.

Step #3. Tap on Apple Pay app at the bottom of the screen of the iMessage App.

Step #4. The iOS 11 will automatically open up an Apple Pay widget; here you can enter the amount and tap on Pay.

  • Enter the amount and tap on PayWhen you tap the Pay button, you need to select the card or Apple Pay Cash and use Touch ID to confirm the transaction.
  • When someone Request you for money, you just have to tap of the numeric amount. It will show up directly with Apple Pay Widget where you can send the money with Apple Pay in iMessage App.

Step #1. Open iMessage App your iDevice.

Step #2. Next, Select conversation with a person to whom you want to Request for the money.

Step #3. Tap on Apple Pay app at the bottom of the screen of the iMessage App.

Step #4. The iOS 11 will automatically open up an Apple Pay widget; here you can enter the amount and tap on Request to send money request.
