How to Send and Receive Money in Facebook Messenger on iPhone or Android
Step #1. First, you need to add your debit card, so tap on the Profile icon on your Facebook messenger.
Step #2. Now tap on Payments. (In iOS app you need to tap on Settings and then Payments)
Step #3. Add your Debit Card details to complete the process.
Step #4. Open the chat window of the friend whom you want to send money and tap on the 3 horizontal dots next to the mic button.
Step #5. Tap on Payments and then tap on Next immediately to bypass the screen.
Step #6. Enter the amount and a note mentioning the reason for the payment.
Step #7. Tap on Pay!
If you want to receive the payment from your friend then tap on Request button on the top of your screen. Now enter the amount and the reason for the request. Tap on the Request button and you are done.

Once your friend accepts or declines the payment you will be informed by an embedded item right in line with your current chat. You can accept or deny the payment by tapping on those two buttons only. Isn’t it simple?
