How to Send Handwritten Messages in iOS 10 on iPhone
Step #1. First up, launch Messages app on your iPhone.
Step #2. Next, select the contact to which you want to send handwritten message.
Step #3. Now, you need to tap on the “iMessage” text field.
Step #4. Next, you will have to turn your iPhone landscape mode.
Step #5. Now, the screen will be replaced with complete blank white screen. Finally, you can doodle anything you want.
If you want more space, tap on the “arrow” button on the right.
If you wish to bring up the keyboard in the landscape view, just tap on the “Keyboard” icon located at the bottom-right.
Step #6. Once you are satisfied, tap on “Done” at the top-right corner.
How to Use Pre-Written Messages in iOS 10 on iPhone
Don’t want to spend time in writing a message? You have readymade choice as well.
Step #1. Follow all the steps from 1 to 4 mentioned above.
Step #2. At the bottom, a row of pre-written messages such as, “thinking of you”, “congratulations” and more will appear. The handwritten messages sent earlier will also be saved here.
Step #3. Simply tap on the message to check out the preview, edit them as desired and send them as usual.

Thanks to the dedicated button on the software keyboard, it’s a bit easy to access the handwriting screen on the iPad.
Step #1. Open the Messages app on your iPad and select the contact to which you want to send handwritten message.
Step #2. Tap on the “iMessage” text field.
Step #3. Now, a new handwriting button will appear at the bottom layer of the software keyboard. You need to tap on it.
Step #4. Now, the handwriting pad will appear on the screen. Next, you need to swipe left/right on it with two fingers to move through.
In order to check your previous hand drawn messages, simply tap on the “Clock” icon at the bottom-left corner.
