Step #1. Open your dialer app and switch the tab to Contacts. Or, you can open Contacts directly as well.

Step #2. Search for the contact of that person whose calls you are going to redirect to voice mail.

Step #3. Tap on the small pencil button to edit the contact. Or you can long tap on the contact and choose Edit contact from the appearing list too.

Step #4. You can see a button with three vertical dots on the top-right part of the screen. Use that one and turn the checkbox on that says All calls to voicemail.

That’s all. You don’t have to answer the calls from that particular contact to know what he/she has to say, from now on.

N. B. – Unfortunately, you can’t find this feature on all the Android devices. But one thing you can do is adding the number into the Call Rejection list. Most of the time, the calls from the numbers in rejection list goes to voice mail.

If you fail to do both the inbuilt methods, you have to install a third-party app to serve the purpose.

Whenever you get calls you don’t want to attend, press the power button twice so that, it will automatically be sent to voicemail. Alternatively, you can immediately switch the phone to silent mode while it rings by using the dedicated button on the side of the screen.
