Whether it’s personal or professional, your Gmail account stores a lot of important emails and data you have shared with your friends or colleagues. As long as you are using your Gmail on the web, everything is fine; but when you sync your Google account with your Android device, you have to be careful about the device. When you lose your Android device or if the device gets stolen, there are chances that the culprit misuses your Gmail account. To prevent this situation, you need to remove Gmail account from your lost or stolen Android device.
When you disable your Gmail account from the lost or stolen device, you need to take action on the Gmail ID that you have synced with the Android device. Note that when you find, lock, and erase data on your lost or stolen Android device, anyone with your device needs to enter your Google account password again to access your Gmail and other Google services. If you have already taken this action, you don’t need to remove your Gmail account from the lost Android phone or tablet. Another thing to note is that when you remove your Google account from your Android device, you won’t be able to track the device.
