- Backup your existing data.
- Make sure you have at least up 50%-60% battery.
- Download latest version of Odin on your computer (Follow this quick guide to use Odin to flash firmware update on your Samsung device).
- Download and install Samsung USB Drivers on your PC.
- Download TWRP recovery for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.
- Download the latest dm-verity and force encryption disable zip on your computer.
- Download SuperSU or Magisk-v16.0(1600).zip.
How to Install TWRP on Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
Step #1. First of all, enable UDB Debugging and OEM Unlock from Go to Settings → Developer Option → Enable OEM Unlock and you can enable USB Debugging by taping seven times on Build number in Settings → About Phone section.
Step #2. Next, Run Odin on your PC by Double Click on Odin3.exe file.
Step #3. After that, boot your device into Download Mode By pressing Bixby + Volume Down + Power button and connect it to PC via USB cable while your device in download mode.
Step #4. If you have installed Samsung USB driver perfectly, you will see the word Added!! in the Odin log box and ID. COM will appear in blue.
Step #5. You will need to click on AP or PDA Tab in Odin and search for the twrp-3.2.1-1-starlte.img.tar like file (TWRP recovery.tar)
Step #6. Select the F.Reset Time on the options tab in Odin and then click on Start button to begin flashing process.
Step #7. Wait few minutes; you will see the Green “Pass” message on the upper side of the Odin it means that TWRP installed successfully on your Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9+.

How to Root Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
Step #1. Once TWRP recovery installed successfully on your phone, boot your device into the Recovery Mode by pressing and hold Bixby + Volume Up + Power button.
Step #2. Tap on Install button and navigate to the /twrp/flashables/ and select no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip to flash.
Step #3. Next, Reboot device into recovery mode and Go to TWRP main menu and select Wipe → Format Date.
Step #4. Reboot your device again in recovery mode.
Step #5. While the device is rebooting into TWRP recovery mode, tap on Install option and browse to the SuperSU or Magisk-v16.0.zip and install it.
Step #6. After SuperSU or Magisk has been successfully installed, navigate to home and click on “Reboot System.”
