Finally, just a few hours back Google has released the final version of its Android 7.0 Nougat. Some lucky people might have received an update notification from Google itself, but many are still waiting for an update. We believe that none of these situations are happy situations for them.
So is there any other way to make your Android 7.0 Nougat updated right now? We believe you will not at all mind a little bit of guidance to get that update and feel lucky right?
How to Install / Flash Android 7.0 Nougat’s latest version of Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P
Before the excitement over this news takes over you, just do not forget to take all the backups from your mobile before you install or update your phone. So if you are now ready for the update, we can start doing some important and easy steps for you to install the Android 7.0 Nougat on your Android phone.
Note: We believe that you already have the necessary tools like adb and fastboot installed on your Windows PC or Mac before proceeding to follow steps.
Step #2. Now unzip it to a location where you want to find it easily at a later stage.
Step #3. Connect your device to your computer via a USB cable.
Step #4. Open a terminal or a command prompt window on your computer and run the following after starting your device in a fastboot mode.
“adb reboot bootloader”
Step #5. In the terminal or command prompt window run the following commands now once you have unlocked device’s bootloader.
For Nexus 5X and 6P
“fastbood flashing unlock”
For older devices
“Fastboot oem unlock.”
Step #6. You can see a confirmation request on your device’s screen. Hope you have already done with the backup because from here on your device will be completely wiped out.
Step #7. From the terminal or command prompt window only navigate that unzipped system image you have saved while doing the Step 1.
Step #8. Now run the flash-all script inside. Remember to run this command you must have a fastboot tool working on your computer because this path is variable for the script which needs to work in this directory.
Step #9. When the flashing finishes your device will reboot by itself. At this point in time, if you wish, you can unlock your device’s bootloader for one more time. To do this just start the device in fastbood mode again, just like you did in 3rd Step mentioned above.
Step #10. Now within the command line run one of the following commands
For Nexus 5X and 6P
“fastboot flashing lock”
For Older Devices
“fastboot oem lock.”
It all depends on which device you are using, but it will wipe off all the storage again. Make sure you do this before installing or configuring anything on your phone after the first update of Android 7.0, else you will have to do the process again.
We hope that you have installed this update successfully without any problem. If that is the case, then rest assured you will enjoy this update for sure.
