Finally, Samsung’s new powerful voice assistant is here for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. After the first beta version of the Bixby three-month ago, Samsung has officially released the final version of Bixby in United State for S8 and S8+ users. Well, the Bixby is looking like Google, Siri and Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant. But, the Korean tech giant claims it works completely differently than other available virtual assistant. It will assist you to complete the task quickly; it will track your routine and remember that what you need and it also tells what you are looking for. Bixby has every detail of your installed app and how to use it like texting your friends, managing settings and taking a photo, etc. You can naturally talk with Bixby, she understands what you say and get smarter day-by-day. You can communicate seamlessly by using commands, type action and tap a suggested one. How to Set Up and Use Bixby on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

It is quite simple to install Bixby on S8 and S8 +; you just need to press the Bixby button on the left side of the phone under the volume up/down button. Your device will automatically show you the setup instructions which are bellows.

Step #1. Press the Bixby button on your Galaxy S8/S8+.

Step #2. Wait for the update to pop-up and go to Bixby Settings.

Step #3. Select update then the Bixby Voice update should automatically pop-up.

Step #4. Download and install the 45MB Bixby update.

Step #5. After installation, tap on Next and choose the language.

Step #6. Tap on Confirm and then Agree the Terms & Conditions.

Now your new virtual partner is ready to follow your commands. Well, the default Bixby settings allow you to press the Bixby button to launch. But, you can set as “Hi Bixby” as a wake commands just like Google by heading to the settings. If you want to set up a Bixby as a wake-up command, you will have to read aloud five sentences to allow Bixby to understand your voice better.

There are some unique things that Bixby can do better than another assistant. You can start chit-chat with Bixby even if music or video is playing on your device. Samsung has added one more interesting thing with Bixby that you can earn rewards by using Bixby and use it for online purchase.

Unluckily, there is no way to revamp the annoying Bixby button. But, Samsung has added few customizations feature like change the background color, speaking style, notification and feedback sound in the Bixby setting to set what you like. The company is still working to add more interesting feature in the new virtual assistant.
