How to Fix Pokémon Go Crashing on Android

Solution #1: Leave the App for some time and Come Back Again

While it may sound a bit funny to most, it has done the job for several users including me. Just leave the game for some time and then return to it.

Step #1. Just press the Home button to get out of the game.

Step #2. Open a new app and play around for some time.

Step #3. Now, open the game again.

Solution #2: Quit the App and Re-launch It

Step #1. Tap on the recent button to see the opened apps.

Step #2. Now, swipe to go to Pokémon Go and then close it as usual.

Solution #3. Delete the App and Reinstall It

Delete Pokémon Go and reinstall it. This trick has worked several times for me in fixing the crashing issue of any app.

Step #1. Go to menu on your Android device.

Step #2. Next up, you need to press and hold on the app.

Step #3. Then drag it to the Uninstall button to delete it.

Solution #4: Factory Reset

You need to factory reset your Android device. It can help you get rid of the issue. Though it may be a bit painful, it’s very helpful when it comes to fixing such problems.

Step #1. Open menu and tap on Settings.

Step #2. Scroll down and tap on Backup and reset.

Step #3. Tap on Factory data reset.

Solution #5: Report the Bug

If you want to report the bugs that are making life difficult for the game, you can visit the Pokémon Go bug report page to express your concerns.
