You can follow the steps given below to solve obtaining IP address error in Android 4.0 or less.
Step #1. Pick up your device and go to Settings. You can access the same either from the notification panel or the list of apps.
Step #2. Go to Wireless and Networks and turn your Wi-Fi on. You will see all the active connections right there.
Step #3. Press and hold the additional options button to get the menu. Or you can tap the menu button. And, then choose Advance from the list.
Step #4. Now tap on ‘Use Static IP’. Don’t forget to enter the following values in the appropriate fields.
IP Address – 192.168.1.107
Gateway – 192.168.1.1
Netmask – 255.255.255.0
DNS 1– 184.108.40.206
DNS 2– 220.127.116.11
Step #5. As the final step hit Save. There you go!
