Till, now when we are writing this there is no official word from Samsung on this, but experts have found certain ways to give relief to fast draining battery issues of Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus. We thought it is worth sharing these solutions with you, so you also get benefitted.
How to Fix Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Battery Issues
Solution #1: Check Battery Eating Apps
Not only Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus but whenever we purchase a new smartphone, we start to download plenty of apps, and once the app is downloaded it starts to eat the battery. Third party apps, in this case, are more mischievous than any other apps. There are some apps which are not third party apps and still eat out your phone’s battery life. So try and search those apps and stop them working by using proper settings. Once your S8 or S8 Plus start showing 50% battery life the best advice one could give is not to use any app as far as possible and save the battery for your valuable talk time until you get time to juice up the battery.
Solution #2: Rebooting Your Smartphone May Help
When the miscreant is hiding somewhere, and you cannot find it or don’t know what to do as you keep on watching your battery drain helplessly, the only solution to it is to reboot the smartphone. So when you can’t go through all the apps to find which app is eating the most from your battery, just reboot your Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus, which will give a fresh start to your OS, and you may see a slow battery drain.
Solution #3: Reduce Brightness and Screen Sleep Time
Most of us are habituate with checking our smart phones time and again whether we receive any notification or not. This habit is not okay at all, but it also becomes a reason to drain some of our smartphone’s battery percentage. If you can’t get rid of this habit, then your Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus need to help you out because they need a life to remain alive for a longer period for sure.
To get more battery life what you should do is to go to Settings and then to Display and tap on Brightness. Auto brightness option is not at all helpful so we would advise keeping that brightness bar between 25 to 30 percent which is enough to give you a good look when you are not exposed to the bright light background.
One more thing we need to look at here is the screen timeout. The best option to keep screen time out at bare minimum, but if that level is too quick for you, then the advisable level is 30 seconds. This will certainly give a small contribution to saving the battery life on Samsung S8 and S8 Plus.
Solution #4: Why keeping WiFi, 4G, LTE, GPS and Bluetooth ON? Turn them Off
This is another bad habit most of us carry. When are we not in need of any connectivity like WiFi, 4G, and LTE then why we should keep them on? By keeping them on they will eat your S8 and S8 Plus smartphone’s battery in a big way. So even if for an hour or two if you feel you don’t need any connectivity turn this facility OFF. This small step of you will help you in big time. There is also no need to keep the GPS or Bluetooth ON because we know we don’t use them every minute or do we? Turn those two services off ASAP!
Solution #5: Black Wallpapers Can Do Wonders
Regular or default wallpapers can be part of the problem we are discussing. The AMOLED display of both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus has a great advantage of doing well with black or dark wallpapers. Just download one or two black and dark wallpapers and then apply them as your wallpapers by long pressing the blank area on your screen and hitting the Wallpapers to select them. This should also do well to stop the fast drain of your smartphone’s battery.
Solution #5: Disable Special Features of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
Both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are loaded with some extraordinary features. Features like gesture or motion controls etc. are meant to give you more comfort, but that doesn’t mean you need to keep them on always even when you are not in need of them. So just go Settings and then tap on Advanced Settings. Here you can disable features like Smart Capture, Palm Swipe Capture, Direct Call, Easy Mute, Smart Stay, etc. This will certainly save some juice in your smartphone’s battery.
Solution #6: Get help from Snapdragon Battery Guru App
The Snapdragon Battery Guru app is one unique app which will help your Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus phones to save plenty of battery life. Once you download Snapdragon Battery Guru app from Google Play Store, the app will check your activity behavior for the next seven days and then it will optimize your battery life.
