How to Export Android Contacts to Excel (CSV File)

Exporting contacts from Android to Excel (CSV file) allows you to check your contacts on your computer – whether you are working on Windows PC or a Mac. In this guide, users are supposed to sync their contacts to the Google account they are using an Android device. And then, they can log into the Google account to export their Android contacts as CSF file.
How to Export Contacts from Android to Excel (CSV File)
First, let’s sync the Android contacts with the Google account.
Step #1. Open Settings app on your Android device.
Step #2. Next, tap on Accounts under the Personal section.
Step #3. Here, you will find all the accounts you have linked to your Android device. Tap on Google.
Step #4. Then toggle Contacts switch ON.
It will take some time for your contacts to sync with your Google account.
Now, it’s time to export your contacts to Excel using the computer/laptop.
Step #1. On your Windows or Mac, open mail.google.com and log in with the same Gmail ID which you are using on your Android device.
Step #2. Now click on Google apps (an icon that shows a cluster of nine squares next to Notifications bell in the top right corner).
Step #3. A menu will drop down with some Google services; click on Contacts option.
Step #4. You will see all your contacts on the computer screen. On the left navigation panel, click on More and then click on Export.
Step #5. To your surprise, you will read a message that says this preview version of Google Contacts doesn’t support exporting yet.
NOTE: Google has recently rolled out some essential features in its Gmail app, and the notable one is to snooze emails in Gmail.
Step #7. Click on GO TO THE OLD VERSION.
You will be landed on the older version of Google contacts.
Step #8. You need to select all contacts by clicking in the checkbox above the contacts.
Step #9. Click on More and then click on the Export option from the list.
Step #10. You will be asked. Which contacts do you want to export?
You can select either 1) Selected contacts; 2) The group; and 3) All contacts.
NOTE: When you select All contacts, your contacts synced with WhatsApp, Facebook, and Gmail will be exported to the Excel file.
Step #11. Then you have to select the format; select Google CSV format and then click on Export.
All your contacts will be exported in CSV format in the Downloads folder on your Mac or Windows PC.
How to Use Third-Party Apps/Tools to Export Android Contacts to Excel (CSV File)
