Several studies have revealed that social networking sites could trigger frustration and negatively impact one’s social behavior. If you have got enough of Instagram or wish to get rid of all the associated memories due to some personal reason, you have the option to delete your Instagram account for good.

When you delete your Instagram account, all of your photos, videos, likes, comments, followers and profile are permanently eliminated. Moreover, you won’t be able to sign up again with the same username or add that username to another account. How to Delete Instagram Account on Android, iPhone, and Computer

Note: There is no option to remove Instagram account from within the app. Hence, you will need to head over to its Delete Your Account page to eliminate your account permanently.

Step #1. First off, open any web browser on your smartphone or computer.

Step #2. Go to instagram.com/accounts/remove/request/permanent/

and sign into your account, if you aren’t already.

Step #3. From the drop-down menu next to Why are you deleting your account, you have to select an option. In this test, I’m going to select “Created a second account”.

Note: You will see the option to permanently delete your account only after you have selected a reason from the drop-down menu. So, make sure to choose a reason.

Step #4. You will have to re-enter your password.

Step #5. Finally, click or tap on Permanently delete my account.

That’s it! You have successfully deleted your account.
