I can’t remember when was the last time I enjoyed any game as much as Pokémon Go. The awesome augmented-reality game has bowled me over just like millions of fans around the world.

There are some annoying issues like fast battery drain, random crashing, server error which I have encountered while playing Pokémon Go. However, the one error that has peeved me a lot is the “GPS signal not found” error.

Pokémon Go uses your phone’s GPS signal to track your location. The game gets stuck when there is no GPS signal. Find out these quick tips to help you get rid of this problem.

How to Fix “GPS Signal Not Found Error” in Pokémon on Android

Handy Tricks:

  • Step outside for some time if you are indoors. It will help GPS satellite to locate your phone.
  • If you are outdoors, turn off Wi-Fi. Then turn it back on even if there is no network.
  • Reboot your device. Simply press the on/off switch. You will get the option to Restart. Tap on it.
  • Turn on/off Airplane Mode. Just press the on/off switch. Tap on the Airplane Mode icon. After a few minutes, turn it off. (You can also get it done by simply pulling down the screen and then turn on/off Airplane Mode.)

Check Out GPS Signal on your Android Smartphone

Several Android phones come with their GPS signal turned off in order to prevent the device from eating into tons of battery. Make sure it’s enabled on your device.

Step #1. Launch Settings app on your device.

Step #2. Scroll down and tap on Location.

Step #3. Turn ‘on’ Location switch.

Step #4. Next, you will have to tap on Locating method. (also known as Location mode. )

Step #5. Finally, you will need to tap on GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks. (Also be called High accuracy)

If GPS is already on, you need to turn it off. Leave it disabled for some time, and then turn it back on.

Forget Wi-Fi

It has done the trick for several users – including me. Let’s try it!

Open Settings → Wi-Fi → Press on the current network → Forget Network.

You will need to connect your device to the network again.
