Google Maps always saves your search pattern and location history whenever you update them. Well, there nothing wrong with it, but you can always clear search and location history on Google Maps on Android and iPhone.

Guide Clear Search and Location History in Google Maps
Step #1. Launch Google Maps app on your Android or iPhone.
Step #2. Tap on the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen and scroll down to ‘Settings’ and tap on it.
Step #3. Over here you will find ‘Maps history’ option, tap on it.
Step #4. Now you can see the locations list which are searched or visited by you recently. Besides these locations, you will see ‘X’ mark, start tapping on ‘X’ mark to remove locations individually to remove them.
Step #5. With each tap on ‘X’, the app will ask you to confirm the delete, just tap on ‘DELETE’ to delete them permanently.
This process is a simple and only way to clear search and location history in Google Maps on Android and iPhone. If you want to clear entire history without clearing it individually, then you have to clear the data.
One more thing you need to note here is that deleting search history one by one will not reduce your app’s data usage.
