The first quarter of 2017 will see some really big releases. First, it was Nokia who announced the date of its comeback to the smartphone fold and then Samsung is going to reveal its new flagship smartphone in April this year.

As per the fresh rumor now its turn of Android Wear 2.0 which is tipped to be released on 9th February. A leaker Evan Blass tweeted this date just a few hours back.

Android Wear 2.0 is Set to Release on February 9th

Evan Blass’ Tweet:

There is a plenty of things we have heard in past few days related to Android Wear 2.0 that it will allow users to search and install new apps directly from their smartwatches. There is also a possibility that one can find Google Assistant and also Android Pay as integral parts of Wear 2.0. Despite all these rumor mills doing overtime, no one is sure how much of these will be offered at the time of the launch.

Now, its remains to be seen that whether, as rumored Google will announce one or two flagship Android Wear devices which will be ‘Nexus-like’ which is made by OEMs with whom Google has already worked in past. The interesting thing is that Wear 2.0 will not be branded as ‘Pixel’ as it was expected.

The launch is a bit late than what it was previously decided. Google initially marked the end of 2016 as the release for the Android Wear 2.0 but later delayed it because of some issues needed to be addressed in the Developer Preview Builds.
